Robert (Bob) Marshall, P.Eng.

Mr. Marshall is responsible for quality control programs,
Building Code checking services, performance audits, reserve fund studies, building condition evaluations, special investigations and litigation support in his work with the full service consulting engineering firm, R. J. Burnside & Associates Limited. He was retained by the BC Ministry of Attorney General as an expert on the $1.5 Billion Leaky Condominium Class Action. This action against BC was denied. Bob is a LEED Accredited Professional. He has 11 years of experience in special investigations and expert services for litigation in the private and public sectors. He has 15 years of experience in research and development, technology transfer and Building Codes. The combination of expertise in governmental regulations and associated procedures as well as specialized engineering knowledge has established him as one of the country's leading experts in building issues. Bob has produced numerous technical books that are referenced in Codes along with companion videos. He was a member of the standing committee for Part 5 (Wind, Water and Vapour Protection) of the National Building Code 1995.
On behalf of Masonry Canada (MC), he has facilitated many workshops and presented papers in North America and developed publications for thousands of industry professionals. For MC, Bob has undertaken research programs with a focus on remedial action for improved building practices. Bob recently completed a series of risk management seminars that were attended by hundreds. Attendees rated him at 90% as a very good or excellent seminar leader.
