Madeline McBride, P. Eng.

Madeline McBride has a master’s degree in Civil Engineering-Construction Project Management from the University of Waterloo.

After a decade as a construction engineer in the far north and with the National Capital Commission in Ottawa, she managed Natural Resource Canada's former Energy Code Support Program. The Canadian Codes Centre at the Institute for Research in Construction at the National Research Council recruited her five years ago.

Her current responsibilities as a technical advisor include developing training for the introduction of objective-based building, plumbing and fire codes in 2005.
