- Identify Projects using Masterformat 2004 and date design commenced
- Entries are judged according to their adherence to CSC's MasterFormat, SectionFormat 1997 and PageFormat 2000.
- The General Conditions are to be bound into the project manual or included by reference.
- As Division 1 is the coordinating element for the project manual, the technical sections should supplement and not repeat or contradict the requirements in Division 1.
- Prepare the Table of Contents by recording the document section names and numbers and the number of pages.
- The end of each section should be noted with the words End of Section, without parentheses or other adornment.
- Items listed in the Bidding Requirements and Contracting Requirements are referenced as Documents, not Sections. Use of the term Division 0 is not recognized.
- Identify sections to be excluded and provide reasons
- Exclude portion of Project Manual beyond your control
Additional Tips for preparing the electronic document:
- Format document so that page orientation is consistent.
- Consistency of page size, except where change of page size aids in interpretation of document.
- Pages are in correct order, not artificially ordered through book marking system.
- Bookmarks in correct order with organization and degree of levels reflecting the complexity of the documents.
- Titles are same as sections referenced.
- Submit CD ROM in a substantial case, labelled with Project Name, Project Number and Issue Date.
