Successful entrants should bear a resemblance (appearance, manner or dress, movement, etc.) to the dog they handle. All entrants will be judged by 3 Judges.

CLASSES

All Breed (Trio) and Specialty Regular CONFORMATION CLASSES:

Junior Puppy: A dog between 6 months & 9 months on the day of the show
Senior Puppy: A dog between 9 months & 12 months on the day of the show
12-18 months (Specialty only): 12 months under 18 months on the day of the show
Canadian Bred: A dog which is born in Canada
Bred by Exhibitor: The handler of the dog is also the breeder and owner
Open Class: open to all Dogs
Veterans (specialty only): dogs 7 years of age and older
Specials Only: Dogs who are Canadian Champions only
Exhibition Only: Dogs may not compete in any regular classes but may enter non-regular classes

All Breed (Trio ) and Specialty Non-Regular CONFORMATION CLASSES:

** Sweepstakes: Dogs 6 months up to but under 18 months
* Brace Class: 2 Dogs (either sex or mixed) owned by the same exhibitor
* Veteran Sweepstakes: Dogs must be 7 years of age and older
* Team: 4 dogs (either sex or mixed) must be owned by the same exhibitor

Non-Regular Specialty (only) CLASSES:

** Sweepstakes: dogs 6 months up to but under 18 months
* Parade of Veterans: Dogs must be 7 years of age and older
* Parade of Champions: Recognized Champions in Canada or Elsewhere
* Brace: 2 dogs (either sex or mixed) must be owned by the same exhibitor
* Team: 4 dogs (either sex or mixed) must be owned by the same exhibitor
* Stud Dog: dog and 2 of his get (not necessarily owned by the same owner)
* Brood Bitch: bitch and 2 of her progeny (not necessarily owned by the same owner)
Sexually Altered
* Field Dog: (see the All Breed Pointing Specialty)

* dogs in these classes must be entered in one of the Regular Specialty Classes or Exhibition Only
** dogs in these classes must be entered in one of the Regular Classes (but not Exhibition Only)

Note: Spayed or Neutered Dogs may enter the Regular Veteran Class and the following Non-Regular classes (provided dog is entered in Exhibition Only): Brace, Stud Dog, Brood Bitch, Parade of Champions, Parade of Veterans, Veteran Sweeps.


CHAMPIONS AND CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS

Chapter 20, Section 1. A dog awarded WINNERS at a championship show held under these Dog Show Rules shall be credited with a number of championship points (ranging from 0 to 5) and the determination of the number of championship points to be credited to a dog awarded WINNERS shall be as provided hereunder.

Section 2. The schedule to be employed in the determination of the number of points awarded WINNERS is:

*includes the dog awarded Winners.

To determine the number of championship points earned by a dog awarded Winners, total all the dogs in competition which the dog defeated, directly or indirectly, for the highest of the following official breed awards: Winners, Best of Winners, Best of Breed, or Best of Opposite Sex and then consult the schedule set forth above.

In addition, a dog awarded Winners that also places in the Group competition shall be credited with t he following additional points (provided that a dog was defeated at the Group level):

A class dog awarded Best in Show at an All-Breed Championship Show will be credited with five points inclusive of any points earned at the breed or group level. In no case may a dog earn more than five points at a single show.
