AUSTRALIAN CATTLE DOG CLUB OF CANADA

Herding Events August 2003

All Herding events will be held at Ewes Welcome Farm, 2876 Country road
25 Casleton, Ontario. 401 to Exit 497 (Colbourne/#25), go north on #25
about 8K to Castleton. Turn east (right) at the stop sign and travel
3.5K to Fire Emergency green sign #2876 on your left.
Note: This is near Peterborough and not Hwy #25, which is near Milton.

All Breed CKC Herding Trials
Three CKC all breed Herding Trials trials will also be held at the venue described below. For a Premium List please contact Sharon Palmer at 705-434-4429 or at sharonp@interhop.net. Note: Long distance calls will be returned collect.

Two Trials held August 14th with Judge Mrs. Lynn Leach of British Columbia.
One Trial held August 15th with Judge Mrs. Gina McDonnell of Ontario
Limited entry, camping on site, all classes, trophies, rosettes, Annual General Meeting of the ACD Club of Canada following the Thursday evening trials.

Instinct Testing
August 12 & 13, 2003
Approximately 8 am to 11 am

Tester: Lynn Leach, Downriver Farms, British Columbia Is a Herding Judge in the CKC, AKC, and AHBA Herding Programs. She is also the CKC Herding Representative for the British Columbia Southwest Zone.

Cost: $30 per dog payable by check or money order to The Australian Cattle Dog Club of Canada
Custom Certificates will be awarded to successful entrants.

Pre-registration ONLY

Limited number of entrants: Only six (6) openings on a first come basis.

Natural Instinct to Work Livestock
Sustained Interest
Willingness to Work with a Handler

What to Expect:
Any dog may try an instinct test

Lynn Leach is an experienced handler and will help you work your dog. Tests are done in a small round pen. some control must be demonstrated on lead, prior to releasing. Lynn will work hard to help create success for your dog. Safety of sheep is a priority. Questions and discussion are encouraged. We are here to have fun.

Clinician- Lynn Leach, Downriver Farms, British Columbia Is a Herding Judge in the CKC, AKC, and AHBA Herding Programs. She is also the CKC Herding Representative for the British Columbia Southwest Zone.

Cost: $90 for one day; $160 for 2 days payable by check or money order to The Australian Cattle Dog Club of Canada

Custom Certificates will be awarded upon completion of the clinic.

Pre-registration ONLY

Limited number of entrants: Only Sixteen (16) openings on a first come basis.

Requirements for passing and receiving a Certificate
Completion of the 2-Day clinic

What to Expect:
Any dog my try an instinct test

Lynn Leach is an experience handler and will help you work your dog. Each dog will get at least 2 runs per day with lots of follow up information/booklets and discussion. Safety of sheep is a priority. Questions and discussion are encouraged. We are here to have fun.
